(May 31, 2012) – Athena North America, LLC, franchisors of Athena Learning Centers of Princeton, New Jersey, launched franchising operations and will offer the industry’s most innovative solutions for students K-12. This package of instructional programs will give the Athena Learning Centers’ the competitive edge in the marketplace.
Co-Founders Mark Mele and Deven Klein, who have a combined 42 years work experience for franchise companies and a combined 24 years of which are in the supplemental education industry, launched the company. “The supplemental education industry is highly fragmented, and we saw a need to help students in a way that is more aligned to what students are learning in school today along with the expectations placed on them through testing,” says Mele, who is CEO of the company.
Klein, who is COO/General Counsel, also sees a terrific opportunity for potential franchisees. “We are going to provide a clear alternative to what exists in this space in terms of royalty, territory protection, payment systems, and overall franchisee relations,” Klein stated.
